A few words about the plot
A young man decides to move to Athens upon completing his studies in Thessaloniki.  He’s just a young person who tries to go after his dreams and build his life and future!  Not being able to afford anything better, he rents a small flat in the center of Athens where he comes face to face with the harsh reality.  He is unable to find a job; humanity is lost!  So he makes the decision of using his amateur camera to interview himself!
The double personality of this young man is recorded frame by frame by the camera lens.  On the one hand we see the sensitive side of a young boy, who misses his parents and friends and feels wounded by society.  On the other hand we see an enraged young man who sees all the politicians who rule this country making the calls regarding his future without anyone asking him about what kind of future he would like to live in!
A monologue,  performed by Patroikios Kostis, which aims to draw the attention of the public, to pose questions and give food for thought to young people who dare to dream.

A few words about the director
The main aim of this short length film was to show the exact script, a monologue.  It was a deliberate decision of mine not to show the whole actor and that’s why his image is shown from beneath his eyes and down.  I did this for two reasons.  First of all because Patroikios Kostis is a renowned actor and I didn’t want this fact to influence the course of the video since it was going to be submitted to the youth Cinematocraphy Festival of Thessaloniki.  Secondly, and more importantly, I believe that a person’s eyes is an extremely important element of who he is…  this specific monologue is addressed to all young people who “feel”  but don’t dare to voice their opinion.  That is why I preferred to express all the words and all the tension that is concealed within, through the movement of the hands and the tension of the voice.

Thank you!
I would like to deeply thank my dear friend Patroikio Kostis who upon reading the script immediately agreed to perform this monologue.  Indeed he carried it out with great success. It is very important for young people to have the support of experienced professionals of the industry at the beginning of their career.

“Greece…I am facing taxing times!”

project1 image1project1 image2project1 image3

project1 image4project1 image5  Serafeim Nrousias with Lakis Lazopoulos

“Greece… I am facing taxing times!” is a feature social-political documentary. The issue of this documentary is not the economic crisis that Greece or any other country of the world is faced with. Today, the situation in Greece, as most of you are familiar with, leads the citizens down a one-way street, that of an uncertain future and especially as regards the future of young people. The deluge of information from the mass media and current affairs programs that monopolize the conversation about the economic situation of Greece, and the speeches of the politicians mislead people away from the most significant problem that must be dealt with… the fact that young people are unable to make their voice heard.

“Greece… I am facing taxing times!” may have as its theme young Greeks from all corners of the world, but that doesn’t mean that it is only aimed at them. People are no longer afraid to claim what belongs to them, to claim the right to life. Some of you are young, some of you were once young and some of you are raising kids who will also be confronted with an uncertain future. We have the right to lead a life which is characterized by dignity and freedom.

They don't care about us

A few words about the song
This is one of Michael Jackson’s songs which was performed by Alkistis Protopsalti with the Greek lyrics of Thanos Papanikolaou and directed by Serafeim Ntousias. The music video was shown for the first time at an event that was organized by the music channel “MAD TV” that was held for environmental causes and took place at “Technopolis”.

A few words about the director
Unique lyrics which express the daily routine of our era 100% and the deluge of information that people have been exposed to in the past few years! Our natural habitat, the sole treasure of our world is disappearing while people are indifferent! Unfortunately this world does nothing for us! Innocent glances, the course of life from birth to death, a four-minute video. Let’s change the world, let’s give a chance to true love… let’s give back the future to our kids!

Making of "Lost Toys" "Lost Toys" (Trailer)
A Short Distance -
Long Enough to smoke a cigarette

A few words about the song
This song which was written, composed and performed by George Papalazaridis is the one that provided the background music for the short length film which is called “My name is … Human”.
A piece that was written at a time when the cycle of his student life closed, one that was significant and simultaneously carefree and what followed was the Greek reality. A new life which all the young people have to adjust to, to accept and to fight for their dreams!

The final result of the image and sound proved to be the “bridge” between reminiscing about the college years which were full of hope and the disillusionment that followed due to the harshness of the current Greek reality.

Orgasmo de ojo

A travel in time with the hands and the cog-wheels of the clock moving backwards while our personality has ceased to exist in our days and it has been replaced by the need of self-definition. An experimental video which transfers us to different eras with the sole mean a magic carpet which consists of the game of sound and movement! Dance… desperate glances… food for thought and contemplation.

Does the unknown frighten you?
The birth of a child… it is the beginning of everything!
The elderly is the outcome… such a work of art!

Nomination
The “Orgasmo de ojo” was nominated among hundreds of other of works that were shown at the Athens Video Art Festival which took place at the Technopolis center from 14 to 17 May 2009

DUST MY BROOM

Dust My Broom was one of the songs that performed on TBA by Jerimiah Marques and the Blue Aces, produced by Serafeim Ntousias.
